After School Programs

The Airway Heights Parks & Recreation Department strives to offer an environment to support responsible ways of learning, social interaction, and provide a place where children can feel respected and accepted for who they are.  


The After School Drop In Program is open Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Community Center. This is a free supervised program offered to the youth in the community to come hang out, play some games and/or relax.  There are many activities to enjoy including: Billards, Foosball, Ping Pong, PS2, Wii, internet connected computers (signed permission slip required) board games, cable TV and MORE!!!!  The program runs in conjunction with Cheney School District's calendar year and will also be extended on days that children are dismissed early from school. 

Please Be Advised: Children must have a completed Drop In Registration form before being allowed to participate in the program.  Please be aware that the program hours and days are subject to change with little or no notice. Children unable to follows program rules or supervisor direction will be sent home.

The Falcons Club After School Mentoring Program is a homework based after school program designed to help students understand the importance of academics, responsibility, and self awareness.  While homework is the FC top priority, participants will also engage in various activities from cooking and crafts, to community projects and field trips. 
The FC will meet everyday school is in session.  Participants are picked up daily by the FC Program Supervisor and taken back to the Community Center for and after school snack and juice before a 30 min homework session.  After homework the group will move on to the days planned activity.  All participants are to be picked up no later than 5:30pm at the Community Center.
