Area Developers Donate Land for 3 New Parks
Aspen Grove Housing Development Neighborhood Park
Landrety Family Investments Limited Partnership & Korsumo Inc. in consideration of certain conditions and covenents have agreed to donate approximately 8.5 acres of land to the City. The City has the option of developing a Wastewater Storage Facility & Park or opting to develop a Park without the wastewater storage. The City shall determine the Park amenities and improvements reasonable necessary and beneficial to the public including, but not limited to, a Recreation Center, Playgrounds, Ball Fields, Open Spaces, Vehcile Parking and all related improvements and utilities on the property.
In the spring of 2007 the City contracted with ALSC Architects to create preliminary master plans for this site. These plans were developed after a series of public workshops held throughout 2007.

Sunset Crossing Housing Development Mini Park
The Developer of the property generally known as Sunset Crossing has agreed that for all future development of the property, Hayden homes shall, in lieu of paying additional park impact fees, dedicate approximately 2.04 acres of land and improve the road adjacent to the Park Dedication according to City Public Works Standards with underground utility services. The plans for this park were tied together with the Aspen Grove project and underwent the same public process for the developent of the preliminary site plans. On Monday April 7, 2008 the City Council approved the Master Plans for Sunset Crossing Park, and also gave the Parks & Recreation Department approval to apply for a Local Parks Development Grant from the Washington State Recreation & Conservation Office (RCO) Washington Wildlife & Recreation Program (WWRP).

Traditions Housing Development Mini Park
Viking Homes the Developer of the Traditions Housing Project consisting of 199 single family housing units has agreed in principal to donate 1 acre of land the City, the donation of the 1 acre will act as credit to the Park Impact Fee and fees will be adjusted accordingly.
