2008 Airway Heights Festival
The Airway Heights Festival Association has already started planning another exciting event for the community. Mark your calendars for Saturday March 22nd and plan on bringing your children to the Easter Egg Hunt at Sunset Park. The Hunt starts at 9:00 am, different areas will be designated for specific age groups. Coffee will be available for adults, the Easter Bunny will be available for Pictures, and special prize eggs will be hidden in each section.

2008 Summer Moonlight Movie Series
Check back later in the Spring for the 2008 Summer Moonlight Movie Series Schedule. All movies are open to the public and free of charge, movies begin when the sun goes down. Movies may be cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.

2008 Airway Heights Lions Club - Bob White Memorial Run For Sight
Mark your calendars for Sunday April 13th and plan on joining the Airway Heights Lions Club for their annual Bob White Memorial 5K Run For Sight. Check in 8:00 a.m. at the Airway Heights Community Center 13120 W. 13th Avenue.
Awards: Trophies will be given to the top overall make and female finishers and the top male and famale finishers in each of the 5 age groups. There will be several drawings and door prizes, as well as refreshments following the race.

2008 Easter Egg Hunt At Sunset ParK - Easter Bunny Leads Activities
Another Event that Strenghtens Community and Helps Create a Sense of Place
On Saturday March 22nd the Airway Heights Festival Association and the Parks & Recreation Department held the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sunset Park. It was a very brisk morning but that didn’t keep the kids from turning out to participate in the hunt and meet the Easter Bunny. The Egg Hunt was a great success with all of the children getting their share of the candy filled eggs. It took them no time at all to gather up the 4000 eggs that were scattered throughout the park. The event broke out 4 separate age groups to make it easier for all of the children to participate. Each of the age groups had an opportunity to find special prize eggs that were randomly hidden in their area. The special prizes included Easter Baskets, Stuffed Animals, and Chocolate Easter Bunnies. Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped make this event a reality and a special thanks to the parents that braved the chilly morning to bring their children to participate.

Join the Chamber on June 26, 2008 at the Fairways at West Terrace for the 8th Annual Golf Scramble This is a great time to meet with friends and showcase your business. Tournament limited to 36 teams, you don't want to miss the exciting changes to this years tournament. Shotgun start begins at 1p.m. followed by an awards reception and dinner with live music, fun and games. This is a perfect time to invite your guests, clients and co-workers to join us and see what is happening with the West Plains Chamber of Commerce.
