Benefits of the EMS Levy Passing

      IMG_0026

With the passing of the EMS Levy in November our voters authorized a small tax increase to help fund 2 Daytime Position giving the day staff some different response capabilities. As of January 4th we were able to put Airway Heights Squad 1 (AHSQ1) in service. This allows staff that are filling the new positions to respond to emergency calls that are deemed less emergent by dispatch in a much more efficient way!

Within 6 hours of putting the Squad into service we were dispatched to 2 calls that happened moments apart. The squad was able to continue into the first call and the Engine was able to respond to the second one.
