 SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM

For the Seniors in the community we offer a weekly senior lunch program that serves as an excellent opportunity to come in and enjoy a meal and interact with other people that have similar interests and hobbies.

Lunch is only $3.00. Served at 11:30pm every Tuesday at the Airway Heights Community Center (13120 W 13th Ave - Airway Heights, WA 99001)

SAIL - Stay Active & Independent for Life – SAIL is a strength, balance, and physical fitness program for adults 65 and older. Performing exercises that improve and maintain strength, balance, and fitness are the single most important activities adults can do to stay active and reduce their risk of falling.

     Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays     Time: 9:00am to 10:00am

SENIOR MOVIE CLUB – Enjoy member picked new, popular, classic, and documentary movies every fourth Tuesday following  Senior Lunch.

     Dates: 12/26, 1/23, 2/27                                  Time: Approx. 12:30pm 


 TRIPS
 All trips depart from the Airway Heights Community Center and require Pre-Registration

Tarzan the Stage Musical - Based on Disney’s epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan of the Apes. Featuring heart pumping and award winning music, this is not a musical you want to miss out on.

Whitworth Theatre’s: “Argonautika”

Mary Zimmerman’s “Argonautika” is the theatrical retelling of the ancient myth of Jason and the Argonauts. Follow Jason and his crew as they set out on a journey to capture the Golden Fleece and along the way encounters monsters, goddesses, nymphs and more amazing sights.

Sierra Silver Mine Tour

Go underground and experience the actual methods of hardrock mining in the richest silver district on earth! A retired miner will be your guide on this 1 hour and 15 minute tour through a real silver mine. Mine temperature is about 50 degrees F, so bring a light jacket.

 FOOD OUTINGS

Join the Food Outings group and visit locally owned Spokane area restaurants and the amazing food each one has to offer. Van ride is free, must pay for own meal. Trips depart from the Community Center

Conley’s Place - Everyday at Conley’s Place is to be a special occasion. Come and enjoy a festive though relaxed atmosphere and terrific menu items.

Fuki Steakhouse & Sushi - Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Post Falls, ID, well-known for their creative and delicious selection of Sushi, Teppanyaki style cooking, and fine cuisine.

Timber Gastro Pub - Post Falls’ Timber combines the concepts of your favorite neighborhood pub with a gourmet and modernized kitchen, allowing the culinary creativity of talented chefs to come to table.

City Manager Albert Trip – Airway Heights’ City Manager will give updates and answer questions on future projects and city news.
