The Airway Heights Fire Department has a number of different vehicles that are fitted for different basic functions. Their pictures and explanation are as follows:
Engine 1 is the first out fire truck for many incidents such as stucture fires, motor vehicle accidents and is also outfited with EMS equipment for both Basic and Advanced Life Support.

Engine 2 is also used primarily for training. This vehicle is set up Just like engine two to provide realistic training for drills and nightly trianing. By using this apparatus for training it leaves Engine 1 availible and fully equipped for calls.

Pumper Ladder 1 is also on the first out reponse to all structure fires and is also utilized for mutual aid assignments with surrounding departments.

Attack 1 is used primarily for wildland fire suppression and can also function as a structural engine.

Medic 1 is the main response vehicle to all medical emergiecies. It also equipped with BLS & ALS equipment.

Brush 1 is part of the initial response vehicle to all wildland fires.

Rescue 1 is equipped with our Technical Rescue Equipment and responds to Trench Rescue, High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Hazardous Material Responses & Auto Accidents requiring extrication.

This is the Fire Chiefs response vehicle. He responds to assist and command incidents.
