Director of Finance

Director of Finance
$6,941 - $8,333 per month DOQ

Reporting to the City Manager, the Director of Finance is responsible for managing all activities of the Finance department, assuring that proper internal controls are in place to safeguard the City’s assets, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the City’s financial results. The Director Finance also serves as the Clerk Treasurer. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in municipal or other local government finance management, accounting, fiscal reporting, and budget development. Salary Range is $6,941 - $8,333/month DOQ. Minimum Qualifications: This positions requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. ; CPA certification is strongly preferred; eight (8) years of accounting experience, including expertise in governmental fund accounting, including supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position.

Salary: The salary range for the Director of Finance is $83,292-$99,996 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Health Insurance: City contributions to health are dependent upon your medical enrollment. Current monthly family contribution toward medical coverage is $1,716.

Retirement: Employees are enrolled in Plan 2 or Plan 3. Employees enrolled in Plan 2 receive a retirement benefit based upon the following formula: 2% x service credit years x Average Final Compensation = monthly benefit. Employees enrolled in Plan 3 receive a retirement benefit based upon the following formula: Defined benefit: 1% x service credit years x Average Final Compensation = monthly benefit.

Schedules and Time Away from Work: Flexible work schedule and compressed workweek is available, 12 days of vacation per year increasing to 21 days after 16 years, 12 days of sick leave annually, and 15 paid holidays.

Aquatics 

Aquatics Coordinator
$2,768 - $3,304/Month

Basic Function:
The Aquatic Coordinator position will assist with the day-to-day supervision, implementation and evaluation of assigned aquatic programs and staff. This position must maintain order and safety in and around the pool facility. The Aquatics Coordinator will work closely with the Supervisor to maintain a clean, healthy water quality and a positive working environment. This position will maintain professionalism and member rapport while delivering the highest level of customer service. Works closely with patrons regarding concerns, problems, and any other significant issues.

Head Lifeguard
$15.00 - $17.91/Hour

Basic Function:
The Head Lifeguards will oversee on duty Lifeguards to ensure constant surveillance of patrons in the water and around the natatorium. This position will monitor the pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, and assist with organization and implementation of aquatic programming. The Head Guards will conduct routine Lifeguard inspections, assist with in-service trainings, lead a variety of Water Fitness and swim lesson classes and manage lifeguard shift rotations.

Lifeguard
$14.00 - $16.72/Hour
Basic Function:
The primary objective of this position will be to prevent accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of patrons. Lifeguards will Provide necessary care to patrons in distress or in danger of drowning, including rescue breathing, CPR, and First Aid when necessary. They will be responsible for set up and take down equipment, perform pool maintenance, and instruct swimming lessons.  In addition, lifeguards will assist in monitoring accurate attendance records, perform water quality testing and Recognize and report a potential for unhealthy water quality levels and or temperature discrepancies.

Fitness Floor Attendant

Fitness Attendants are responsible for monitoring facility use, ensuring safety of patrons, and proper use of Recreation Center fitness areas and equipment. This position will enforce Recreation Center policies and procedures relating to fitness areas and programs. Fitness Attendants will engage members and provide updated information regarding personal training, group fitness classes, and other fitness related programming.
