Veterans Home Repair Program
The goal of Habitat-Spokane’s Veteran Repair Corps is to enter into partnership with veteran homeowners currently needing critical repairs but have not been able to get the help they need anywhere else. Veterans that partner with Habitat pay for the repairs at cost directly from Habitat for Humanity with no profit, no interest loans.
The three primary qualifications for the Habitat for Humanity Veteran Repair Corps are:
NEED: The veteran is now living in housing in need of critical repairs and have an income that falls between 25-60% of the Spokane area median income.
ABILITY TO PAY: The veteran must be able to repay the zero percent interest Habitat loan
WILLINGNESS TO PARTNER: The agrees to earn hours of "sweat equity".
The amount of hours depends on the size and cost of the project.
Join us for an informational meeting to see if you qualify!
