Community Development
The Community Development section is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that the Airway Heights community remains vital and provides for the desires and wants of its residents in terms of community activities, events and programs. The Community Development office works closely with our Community Services coordinator and recreation department in promoting and establishing programs that benefit the entire community. Highway SR 2 Revitalization Program The City of Airway Heights, in cooperation with city businesses and residents, has established a committee to address the issues surrounding our main thoroughfare through the city. The Planning Department, under the direction of the Community Development Director, is responsible for administering the City's land use program including comprehensive planning (long range planning) and permit processing services (current planning). Economic Development
The Economic Development section encourages oppurtunities for existing businesses to prosper while seeking new industry and business to compliment the city's residential growth. Our office can provide any useful data of the city to help any prospective new business with it's relocation plans within the City of Airway Heights.
