This calculator uses the fixture value assigned by the Universal Plumbing Code to calculate meter size.  This calculator determines meter size based on the cumulative plumbing fixture unit count.  Each sink, toilet, hose bib, shower, dishwasher, etc is assigned a weighted fixture value established by the Universal Plumbing Code.  Each meter size is capable of supplying a maximum fixture unit count.  By reviewing all the fixtures that will be in the completed project you can determine the appropriate meter size.

This calculator is for estimating purposes only.  Actual meter size will be determined by the Development Review Services staff at the time application for service is submitted.
